Paris…the city of lights and the city of love! We stayed in Paris for a couple of days and did a bunch of touristy things as it has always been on my bucket list. We arrived in France by train and as soon as we left the train station we saw the bustling streets of Paris. We ended up trying to find lunch first and we found this little place not too far from the train station. We went the summer after I finished French one and I wanted to use my French skills. That didn’t work out so well. I couldn’t understand a word the waiter had said.I just stared at her in shock as she talked so fast I could only comprehend one word. Maybe I can understand better now… After lunch, we went to our hotel and since we had limited time in Paris we decided to go check out the Louvre. It was so amazing to see it in person. The line to go inside was super long and I didn’t necessarily want to go in anyways so we just walked around the outside and marveled at the beautiful architecture.

That evening we ended up going to dinner at this little Bistro and when we ordered dessert my dad wanted a cheese platter, but his French isn’t so good either and he ordered something that translates to “White Cheese.” Thinking it was just an arrangement of white cheeses we were very shocked when a bowl of yogurt came out. I started cackling as I thought it was hilarious while my dad just stared at the bowl. He said it was very good yogurt, but definitely not what we expected. The next day we ended up touring around the city and going to visit the Arc de Triomphe and the famous street, Champs-Élysées. We also decided to walk by the Ritz in Paris as I did a project on Coco Chanel and that’s where she spent her last 30 years and I wanted to see what it looked like. I had so much fun walking around the city, it was absolutely amazing.

The following day we ended up going to Montmartre and it was absolutely beautiful. I loved walking up, the very steep hills, and looking at everything it had to offer. We spent a good chunk of our day in Montmartre, but then we went back to the hotel to change because we had dinner reservations for the restaurant on top of the Eiffel Tower. We arrived early so we could walk around the Eiffel Tower first. It was so huge and absolutely stunning to finally see in person. Then we went up their private elevator for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and the view was wonderful! It was so stunning as we saw the sun set and the view of Paris was magnificent. After dinner, we went back down the elevator and we saw the Eiffel Tower at night. In my opinion, the Eiffel Tower looks way better at night than it does in daylight. The glowing of the Eiffel Tower paired against the midnight blue sky is just amazing and so beautiful. The next day we left beautiful Paris, but I had an amazing time there. Paris is most definitely my favorite city in the whole world.

Wow I've never had much interest in going to Paris but you might have changed my mind!!
